Associated Office
Across his CBRE tenure, Jeff has advised clients spanning automotive, consumer goods, financial services, technology and media, private equity, healthcare and life sciences, education and public institutions, and utilities, alongside earlier work in aerospace, biotech, energy, electronics, and engineering. This breadth has sharpened his ability to translate industry-specific dynamics into portfolio strategy, whether optimizing a global office footprint or evaluating a single headquarters relocation decision.
That strategic work is underpinned by deep financial analysis and underwriting capability. Drawing on a US GAAP foundation from his tenure at KPMG within the audit practice, Jeff builds and reviews financial models that support complex real estate transactions — quantifying savings and return on investment, and developing occupancy and development models that allow clients to weigh build-versus-buy, own-versus-lease, and consolidation scenarios with rigor. This extends across a broad range of asset types — office, headquarters, industrial, warehouse, lab/R&D, and land — within both national and international portfolios. He also brings M&A experience to the table, analyzing combined real estate portfolios post-transaction to surface risk exposure and identify synergy opportunities for newly merged organizations.
A core part of Jeff's practice is headquarters strategy: engaging directly with C-suite stakeholders to evaluate highest-and-best-use of their HQ's or Campuses, build disposition strategies, and assess relocation alternatives against the status quo. This work routinely involves preliminary incentives estimates and supply-and-demand analysis to ground site selection in market reality, ensuring that recommendations brought to leadership are both strategically sound and economically substantiated.
Jeff Jones is a Senior Director in CBRE's Americas Consulting practice, where he has spent over a decade helping corporate occupiers translate complex real estate decisions into practical, defensible strategies. He joined CBRE in June 2014 and has since built a specialization at the intersection of headquarters strategy and portfolio-wide financial analysis — advising clients not just on where to be, but on the underlying economics that justify the decision.
