Chris Volney is a Managing Director in CBRE’s Americas Consulting group, based in Los Angeles. With more than 15 years in real estate and location advisory consulting, he advises clients across a range of industries on location strategy and labor analytics. He has particular strength in helping fast-growing technology companies identify expansion markets that align with their long-term objectives, corporate values, and culture.

Before joining CBRE, Chris spent four years as a Managing Director in Newmark Knight Frank’s Global Strategy Consulting group, leading site selection and location strategy engagements for clients worldwide. Earlier in his career, he was a member of the Corporate Occupier Services Consulting group at Savills, working from both New York City and Washington, D.C.

Chris has advised on hundreds of projects for clients ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies. He brings an analytically rigorous approach to location strategy that helps companies make decisions that reduce risk and strengthen long-term competitive advantage. He is especially well suited to advising high-growth organizations on where and how to expand next.
